David Becker

Pastor

David accepted Christ as His Savior as a young boy, having heard the gospel from his mother. He sensed God's call for ministry as a teenager. After grappling with that call through college, David began preaching as a young adult. His college degrees are in Church Music Ministry. David still loves to sing to this day, but his main love is preaching the Word of God in pulpit ministry, along with teaching and mentoring others in personal, interactive Bible studies. David has been preaching at the Charlestown Bible Church for over twenty years. He ministers with the support of his wife, Amy, to whom he has been married for 27 years. He also has the joy of having his three daughters and two sons-in-law attend and serve in the church. He is now a self-published author whose books and accompanying study guides offer an expositional commentary on the scriptures. David works part-time as a carpenter/builder and enjoys manual labor to balance out all of his mental preparations.

Adam Choquette

Assistant Pastor

Born in New Hartford, Connecticut, Adam experienced the life-changing grace of Christ during his college years. Though raised apart from Christ, a dorm mate's invitation to a morning Bible study revealed to Adam his sin and need for the Savior. Later, a discipleship study ignited a passion for God's Word, leading him to trade law school aspirations for theological studies at seminary.  While in seminary, Adam honed his skills in biblical languages and theology, graduating with a Master of Divinity in 2022. His ministry journey continued at Charlestown Bible Church, where he served as adult Sunday School teacher and intern before being commissioned as Assistant Pastor in 2024. With a heart for careful exposition and a desire to glorify God through preaching, Adam shares the word of God during the Sunday Evening services. Adam and his wife, Alyssa, married in 2023 at Charlestown Bible Church. They live in Charlestown, NH, and enjoy skiing, hiking, and exploring the outdoors together.

David Bascom

Elder & Moderator

Raised in Nottingham, NH, David grew up in a Christian home and always thought that he was a Christian. When he started dating his future wife he realized her faith was different than his. On one of their dates they went to see a Christian movie and that’s when God spoke to him. In the spring of 1975, at a movie theater in Portsmouth, NH, David knelt and asked Christ into his life. David says, “Lorna and I were engaged to be married in August, and I later found out that Lorna was getting close to calling off the wedding, because she knew I wasn’t saved and she was; but God’s timing was perfect and He saved her from having to break my heart.” David has been walking with the Lord and serving Him in one way or another ever since. David has been married to Lorna for 48 ½ years. They have four children, twelve grandchildren, and three borrowed grandchildren. David and Lorna moved to Acworth, NH in 1987, and have been members of Charlestown Bible Church for 36 years. David is the VP and COO of Bascom Maple Farms, Inc. When not working, David enjoys cutting wood, maple sugaring, puzzles, and eating out.

David Roark

Deacon

David was born in Maine and grew up in Southern Grafton and Sullivan Counties in NH. He was saved at the age ten at the Meriden Baptist Church in the children’s church program.  David has been happily married to his wife Janette for almost 38 years. They have attended Charlestown Bible Church since 1999. David has worked at Timken Aerospace ( formally known as Split Ball Bearing) in Lebanon, NH for about 38 years. He has been a Ward clerk for the city of Claremont for the last fourteen years. David's interests include campaign elections, city and state government policies, and natural health options that are non-pharmaceutical.

Mark Raasch

Deacon & Treasurer

Mark grew up in a Christian home in Wisconsin and Michigan; his parents were church planters with Continental Baptist Missions. Mark accepted the Lord as a child of 7. One day in Sunday school, Mark was asked if he knew for sure if he would go to heaven when he died. Mark wasn't sure.  His father explained the gospel to him and Mark asked Jesus into his heart. Mark has been married to Katie for 19 years. They have one daughter, Samantha. Mark and Katie have lived in NH for 2 years; Mark is the EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) Site Coordinator and manufacturing supervisor at a local manufacturing company. Mark is thankful for his salvation and strives to share the gospel with others so they can have a relationship with Jesus and someday be with Him in heaven. Over the years Mark has gone on mission trips to Ukraine and Poland (teaching English using the Bible), and served as an Awana ministry leader, Sunday school teacher, and deacon. In his spare time, Mark enjoys gardening, hiking, and riding motorcycles.
