God's covenants are amazing. It is just as fascinating to see how the all-wise God revealed these covenants to His chosen servants. When we realize that these covenants were paving the way for Messiah, it makes the study of each come alive with gospel application. God's covenant to Abraham begins to give clarity to the coming of our Lord. So too does Abraham's reception of the covenant display the doctrines of faith and salvation. There is much to learn of Christ's redemption in this biography of the man we call, “The father of us all.” His was truly a covenant life. His was also a foundational life as it relates to God's revelation of grace in Christ. May we learn much of this salvation, and of Abraham's Seed who has brought this blessing upon us all. This volume will certainly serve to this end.
